Package Holiday Flight Delayed? Your Compensation Rights

Booked your flight as part of a package holiday? You may still be entitled to UK261 compensation separately from any refund from your tour operator.

If you booked a package holiday and your flight was delayed or cancelled, UK261 compensation rights still apply to the flight itself, separately from any refund or rebooking your tour operator arranges.

Two separate things

  • Package Travel Regulations cover your holiday as a whole: refunds, rebooking, and duty of care if things go wrong with the trip.
  • UK261 covers the flight specifically: cash compensation for delays of 3+ hours or cancellations, on top of anything the tour operator provides.

Who do you claim from?

UK261 compensation is claimed against the airline, not the tour operator, even if you booked the flight as part of a package through a travel agent.

How much can you claim?

  • £220 for flights under 1,500km delayed 3+ hours
  • £350 for flights 1,500-3,500km
  • £520 for flights over 3,500km delayed 4+ hours

How to claim

Klaimly verifies the airline and flight details from your booking and pursues the airline directly, for a flat 5% fee, only if we win.
